$79.99 once — not a refrigerant can every few weeks that just leaks back out.

Already replaced the valve or core?

A new core only helps if the core was the leak. FreezeCap™ adds a second seal at the port rim — trapping refrigerant whether it’s escaping past a bad core or worn, stripped, or corroded threads. No risky port work.

    SOUND FAMILIAR

If any of this matches your summer, keep reading.

    • Already $50–$100 deep in refrigerant cans this summer. The cold air comes back for two or three weeks, then fades again.

    • The shop quoted $150 just to diagnose the leak. Before any parts. Before any labor. Before knowing where the leak even is.

    • A/C blows warm again 2–3 weeks after every refill. Same cycle, different month. The refrigerant is still escaping somewhere; you just don't know where.

    WHY THIS EXISTS

Built for the driver who already paid the shop once and would rather not do it again.

Most slow A/C leaks are quiet. No hiss. No warning light. The cabin just stops getting cold. You add a can of refrigerant, and a few weeks later you're hot on the freeway again.

The shop wants $150 just to look, and up to $1,500 to fix it. So you shrug and buy another can.

But one of the most common spots these leaks start is the service port, the little valve under that cheap plastic cap. The valve wears out. The threads go soft. A normal cap can't seal it. FreezeCap™ snaps on and seals the port at the rim, working around the worn valve. Nothing is opened. No refrigerant is let out. Patented, metal-built, assembled in the USA.

It won't fix every leak, not the compressor, condenser, or a hose. So try it, make sure the system's properly charged, and wait two weeks. If the cold holds, the port was your problem. If not, you've ruled it out for $79.99, cheaper than a shop diagnostic, and the 30-day refund covers the test.

$79.99 once. 30 seconds. No tools.

30-SECOND INSTALLATION · NO TOOLS REQUIRED

If you can twist a cap off a water bottle, you can install FreezeCap™.

Three steps. One service port. Cold cabin.

    1. Pop the hood, find service ports.

It's marked with a red, blue, gray or black cap on an aluminum A/C line. Ensure your system is properly charged.

    2. Snap FreezeCap™ on, twist the dial.

Push straight down until the clamp clicks. Twist the top dial to drive the seal against the port rim. The system never opens, no tools required.

    3. Drive.

That's the install. No vacuum pump, no shop appointment, no waiting on a parts order. Cabin blows cold on the next start.

    Compatibility

R-134a variant: 1994–2012 vehicles almost universally. R-1234yf variant: 2021 and newer (EPA mandate for new vehicles). The 2013–2020 model years are the mixed transition window: most major OEMs transitioned by 2017–2019, but some manufacturers (notably Chrysler/FCA) adopted R-1234yf as early as 2014. Verify yours via the A/C system sticker, your owner's manual, or a VIN lookup.

What to confirm before ordering: service port location on your vehicle, refrigerant type matches the variant you select.

    What's in the box
    • Each FreezeCap™ kit (R-134a or R-1234yf, depending on the variant you order) comes with two caps, a high side and low side cap, one for each of the two service ports.

    QUESTIONS

The questions every port-leak owner asks.

What if my leak isn't at the service port?

The service port is one of the most common places a slow A/C leak starts, so the odds are good, but they aren't 100%. If you install FreezeCap™ and your system still loses charge, the leak is somewhere else. You can still return it within 30 days for a full refund, but in many cases, customers choose to keep it anyway, since it helps eliminate the most common failure point and can prevent repeat leaks down the line. Either way, you’ve ruled out the cheapest fix and potentially avoided a $150 to $250 shop diagnostic fee in the process.

5-minute self-test: spray soapy water on the low-side service port with the system pressurized. Slow bubbles forming at the rim or under the cap = port leak.

Is this just a fancy plastic cap?

No. The original cap that came with your vehicle acts more like a dust cover. FreezeCap™ uses patented technology to lock over the service port and form a secondary seal across the port opening. Refrigerant escaping past a worn Schrader valve stays trapped between the valve and the cap, held in the system instead of bleeding to atmosphere. Premium metal construction, machined and assembled in the USA.

Why not just replace the Schrader valve?

Fair question. If the valve is the only problem and the port is healthy, a new valve can do the job. Start there.

But on an older, high-mileage vehicle there's a catch: the port threads are soft metal. Pulling the old valve out and screwing a new one in can chew up those threads even more, and make the leak worse instead of better. That's where a lot of people get stuck. They swap the valve, and it still leaks.

FreezeCap™ takes another path. It seals at the outer rim of the port, so it works around a worn valve and worn threads instead of fighting them. Your A/C system is never opened. FreezeCap™ is built for the leak that is left after a fresh valve still won't hold.

What about a cheap valve-core tool that swaps the core without losing refrigerant?

If your leak is the valve core, that tool is the cheaper fix, so go use it. We mean that.

But a new core only helps if the core was the problem. On a lot of older vehicles the leak isn't the core at all. It's the soft aluminum threads at the port, which strip and wear down over time. Put a brand-new core in and it can still leak, because the worn threads still can't hold a seal.

FreezeCap™ doesn't try to fix those threads. It makes a second seal against the rim, the flat outer face of the port, so refrigerant slipping past a bad core or worn threads can't escape. Simple rule: if the core is your leak, the tool wins. If the core has already been swapped and it still leaks, that's FreezeCap™.

    Will this void my warranty?

FreezeCap™ installs on the outside of the sealed refrigerant system. It never opens it. That's mechanically equivalent to swapping the dust cap your vehicle shipped with. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a manufacturer can't void your warranty for using an aftermarket part unless they can prove it caused the failure. FreezeCap™ doesn't touch any sealed component, so there's nothing to point to.

Why hasn't my mechanic mentioned this?

Shops are equipped and paid for full-system repair: vacuum, recharge, parts, labor. A targeted DIY fix isn't part of that workflow. FreezeCap™ is also recently patented, so it isn't yet in standard shop parts catalogs. None of that is a knock on shops; it's just a different repair model.

    Does it work on R-1234yf?

Yes. FreezeCap™ ships in two refrigerant variants: R-134a (1994–2012 vehicles almost universally) and R-1234yf (2021 and newer, EPA mandate for new vehicles). The variant selector at the top of the page picks the right one for your vehicle. 2013–2020 is the mixed transition window: verify yours via the under-hood sticker, owner's manual, or VIN lookup before ordering.

How long does the seal last?

The seal is mechanical, not chemical, so it doesn't degrade or wash out. That's why FreezeCap™ comes with a lifetime warranty on seal integrity. If it ever fails on a defect, we replace it for life.

$79.99 still feels like a lot.

That's fair. But compare it to what you're really spending. A can of refrigerant costs about $15 to $30, and it leaks right back out in a few weeks. Buy can after can all summer and that's $50 to $100 gone, with the leak still there.

FreezeCap™ is the thing that stops the next can. Pay once, seal the port, and quit feeding the leak. It's still far less than the $800+ a shop charges to find and fix it. If it seals your leak, you save big. If it doesn't, the 30-day refund makes you whole.

If my A/C was leaking, do I need to recharge it or worry about moisture?

FreezeCap™ seals the leak from the outside and never opens your A/C system, so it doesn't add any moisture. While your system still holds pressure, it's pushing refrigerant out, not pulling air in. If it already lost its charge, you'll still want it recharged the normal way to get cold air back, and if it ran all the way empty, a shop would vacuum it out first. FreezeCap™ just stops the leak so the charge holds.
